I have found people regret not having their wedding filmed, myself included! The day of the wedding goes by so quickly and there are so many beautiful moments in the day you will miss such as your partner getting ready, interactions between your guests, family and friends and late nights on the dance floor which can become something of a blur. Having your wedding filmed professionally means your entire wedding story can be retold through a cinematic wedding film for you to enjoy and watch over and over again. 

I firmly believe my role is to make a film about your day and absolutely not to make your day about a film. Where other companies may have large teams, lighting rigs and stage shots my approach is to try and let the events of your day unfold naturally and capture the magic as it happens.

At certain points such as your couple shoot I will give simple directions to create natural movements as standing still doesn't look great on video but otherwise I leave you to enjoy and be in the moment and try to make sure you spend your day with each other and your friends and family and not with me. I may also suggest standing in a nicer spot aesthetically or for lighting purposes during the day.

I strive to never ask you to repeat things, my job is to capture the moments happen in real time.

This all does not mean though that I am invisible or a fly on the wall - I'm definitely not, I'm friendly and enjoy a laugh and will interact with you and your guests on the day. Why? because it makes my job much more enjoyable, it makes the experience of being on camera less awkward and it therefore makes you and your guests far more comfortable around the camera and brings out more smiles, fun and laughter for your wedding film.

My packages include full coverage form morning preparation until around an hour after the first dance.

I'm present to capture your day as you want to remember it and for me this means capturing your whole day from morning preparation through to cutting shapes on the dance floor.

Editing takes time and I never rush my work. I take on a limited number of weddings each year to ensure I can give 100% to every film. I t takes time to edit as I want to make sure all the beautiful moments are included, professionally coloured, the audio is corrected and that the final film gives a perfect reflection of your day.

It depends on your package but I will aim to complete your wedding film and deliver it no later than 26 weeks from the wedding day. If I am doing a wedding trailer film then I will aim to get this to you ASAP and usually within 14 days of the wedding.

The film will be sent to you via an online link where you can download it immediately and start watching and sharing with friends and family. On request I can also provide vertical edits and compress video quality to work best with social media.

I back up and hold onto your film for 3 months, so I recommend that you make sure you also back up the film to a few locations for safe keeping such as a USB drive, cloud storage service and electronic device.

I shoot throughout the day in beautiful 4k UHD video quality. I use high quality codecs allowing for professional colour correction and editing. Your final film will usually be delivered in 4k UHD resolution. Ceremony and Speeches films are typically delivered din HD, but a 4k copy can be provided on request. If you would prefer to have an additional copy of your film in a lower resolution for online use then I can do this for you - please just ask.

Yes, where permissible, safe and appropriate I will always aim to capture footage from a drone to provide a unique perspective. This is usually for establishing shots of the venue and surrounding area and not usually during drinks receptions or busy parts of the day for safety reasons.

I pay to licence high quality music from specific websites so there is no risk of copyright infringement for me or you. I (and other professional wedding videographers) unfortunately can't feasible legally license famous commercial songs. Some commercial songs can be licensed in certain circumstances, so if you want me check on a particular special song then please just ask.

Using licensed music makes your wedding film unique and I spend hours and hours selecting the right music to fit with each individual project.

Don't worry the significant cost of using this licensed music is all included in my prices.

Yes. Things can always go wrong with technology but I always record to two memory cards simultaneously to give myself and immediate backup of your footage that stays with me on the day.

Once home I back up your footage in a further three locations until your edit is completed and safely delivered.

Once your film is delivered it will stay in the cloud and be available to redownload for around 3 months. I will also retain my own copies for around 3 months. I recommend to all my clients that they back up the film to an external drive such as a USB stick and to a cloud service.
