Hello I'm John Taylor a film maker, content creator and videographer based in south west England just south of the Cotswolds and outside the beautiful city of Bath, UK.
With 10 years experience in and around film and commercial production I have recently started my own independent production journey through John Taylor Films, I started to complete work and develop new opportunities in the commercial sector but later decided to turn my passion for film making towards cinematic wedding films. Starting just before the global pandemic wasn't well timed but it's now full speed ahead and I'm in a very lucky position to grow the wedding films side of my business organically. As such I take on a limited number of weddings a year. This ensures I can maintain the upmost quality and dedicate all the time and attention that the memories of your big day deserve.
For most of us there is no happier day than our wedding day, we are surrounded by everyone important to us and make a lasting commitment to the love of our lives. It's a huge honour and privilege to be a part of anyone's wedding day and Im absolutely addicted to the buzz and capturing the rollercoaster of emotions that develop throughout the day.
When working I aim to be as unobtrusive as possible and let moments unfold naturally use high end Sony mirrorless cameras. This allows me to keep my gear lightweight whilst still offering video capture in stunning 4k UHD definition. I am personable and friendly, will say hello and interact with your guests and I'll hope to blend in like one of them - just with a camera or two in hand.
When I'm not shooting film for work I can usually be found picking up a camera or my phone to capture my family life, I love being active and getting outside to enjoy the beautiful countryside that I am very fortunate to live amongst.
